New here

Is my first class really free?

Yes, your first class is on us. Book any class and enter the code FIRSTFREE at checkout, with no commitment. Book your first class →

I'm completely new to yoga. Where do I start?

Start with Hatha Yoga - Foundational: a slower, carefully guided introduction to traditional Hatha, with nothing to keep up with. It isn't a lesser class; it's where the practice begins, for newcomers and experienced practitioners alike. Read more on our philosophy → or see the schedule →.

Do I need to bring anything?

Just yourself. Mats and props are provided. Wear comfortable clothes you can move in, and bring water if you like. We practise barefoot.

What should I wear?

Comfortable, breathable clothing that moves with you, nothing too loose or restrictive. No shoes; yoga is practised barefoot.

What happens on my first visit?

Arrive a few minutes early so we can welcome you and show you around. We keep the room quiet on arrival, the studio is a space to be honoured, and your teacher guides you throughout. Come as you are.

Do I need to book in advance?

Yes. Classes have limited spots, and bookings close 4 hours before a class starts; that's how we confirm numbers with our teachers and prepare the room. You can book up to 14 days ahead, online → or through the Spaces by Wix app →.

Classes & Hatha yoga

Do you offer prenatal yoga?

Yes. Prenatal Yoga runs every Wednesday morning at 08:30 with Martina: a gentle weekly class for pregnancy, at any stage, from the first trimester through to birth, taught in the same unhurried spirit as the rest of our classes: breath first, everything supported, nothing rushed. Complete beginners are welcome, and the class takes twelve people. Read more about prenatal yoga → or book it like any other class. Please let your midwife or doctor know you are practising, and tell your teacher before class about anything we should know.

What is Haṭha yoga?

Haṭha yoga is the classical practice of posture (āsana) and breath (prāṇāyāma), 'ha' (sun) and 'tha' (moon), the balancing of opposing energies. It's a complete, practical system refined over thousands of years, using the body as the entry point to cultivate awareness. It's the foundation of what most people today simply call 'yoga.' We've written a full introduction: what is Haṭha yoga? →

What classes do you offer?

Three traditional Hatha classes, Foundational, Intermediate and Advanced, and Yin Yoga. See the full schedule →.

What do Ārambha, Ghaṭa and Parichaya mean?

They're the traditional stages of practice from the Haṭha Yoga Pradīpikā, paired with our English class names: Ārambha (beginning) → Foundational, Ghaṭa (the vessel) → Intermediate, Parichaya (deepening) → Advanced. They describe depth and readiness, not a ladder to climb. More on our philosophy →.

Which Hatha class is right for me?

Begin with Foundational. As your practice becomes consistent, your teacher will let you know when you're ready for Intermediate, and later Advanced. A good student is defined by consistency, not by advanced postures.

What is Yin yoga?

Yin is a slow, quiet practice of long, supported holds that work gently into the body's deeper tissue. Stillness rather than effort, all levels welcome.

Do you offer Vinyasa, hot yoga or Pilates?

We focus on traditional Haṭha yoga and Yin, a steady, classical practice rather than flow or heated styles. If that's what you're looking for, you'll feel at home here. Why we practise this way →.

Is breathwork (prāṇāyāma) included?

Yes, breath and posture are given equal weight, and breathwork is woven through every class rather than taught as a separate session.

How long is a class?

Every class is 75 minutes.

Do I need to be fit or flexible?

Not at all. Foundational is designed for every body, and props help you find each posture. Strength, balance and flexibility are results of practice, not requirements to begin.
